Ski and Snowboard in the Lyngen Alps of Norway

The mountains of Lyngen rise straight from the Arctic Sea and present some of the most scenic skiing & snowboarding opportunities in the world along with some of the most immaculate snow conditions in Norway.

Trip Details: The Lyngen Alps of Norway are known by passionate backcountry riders and mountaineers as one of the most sought after backcountry ski and snowboard destinations in the world. We are partnering with Whitecap Alpine to offer this once in a lifetime Norway backcountry ski and snowboard experience! The Lyngen Alps is a dramatic mountain range rising from the fjords to spectacular peaks and glaciers. On this 8 day trip we will be home-based in the beautiful seaside town of Lyngen, giving us easy driving or boat access to the base of the mountains we’ll be skiing and riding. Since there is no chairlift, we will be hiking and touring to all of our lines on this trip. If you are up for a challenge, you’ll be rewarded with more than amazing skiing and spectacular views—you’ll also have around 20 hours of daylight every day!

Ski and Snowboard in the Lyngen Alps of Norway

Utah: Private Guided Backcountry Tour

Explore the epic Wasatch Mountains in Utah on this specially curated guided backcountry ski or snowboarding trip. With over 500 inches of annual snowfall, you’ll have no shortage of deep powder and steep terrain to conquer! The terrain options on this guided trip can range from beginner to extreme all within the scenic backcountry. The local guide is IFMGA/AMGA Certified will help you select the best lines to run down but also provide educational opportunities to help your group become better backcountry skiers, uphill skinning, avalanche preparedness and, more. Please be advised that the advanced and expert trips are designed for those who are already proficient in backcountry skiing and want to challenge their abilities by doing pro-level skills. Novice & Intermediate skill level: regular length day of 6-8 hours with 1,000 to 4,000 ft elevation gain

Advanced & Expert skill level: longer day of 8-10 hours and 4,000 to 7,000 ft elevation gain

Washington Intro to Backcountry Skiing

If you’re an adrenaline junky on the mountain but haven’t branched out to backcountry skiing, then this trip by evo is perfect to get you started! This 2-day trip is an educational introduction to all things backcountry skiing. The trip options will have you learning at Mt. Rainer, Stevens Pass, or Snoqualmie Pass. Over the 2-day trip you’ll get a comprehensive and immersive look at what to expect when backcountry skiing and splitboarding. You’ll be taught the skills needed such as developing a tour plan, selecting terrain for uphill and downhill travel, how to appropriately approach untouched powder stashes, powder skiing techniques and more – all taught by certified instructors. While you do not need a level 1 avalanche course to go on this trip it’s highly recommended!

Trip options: Trips at each Stevens Pass, Mt. Rainer, and Snoqualmie Pass for this Winter are selling out quickly – book your adventure today! Trips are $335 / per person

Colorado: Intro to Backcountry Hut Trips

Plan a unique winter trip with this Backcountry Hut Skills Trip in Colorado! This three-day, two-night adventure will not only educate you on backcountry skiing, preparedness, but it will also teach you how to plan and execute the most epic hut trip for your friends! You’ll stay at one of Colorado’s historic backcountry huts while learning how to plan the trip and terrain selection, execute a winter hut trip, use beacons, shovels, and probes, avalanche awareness, uphill climbing skinning skills, and more! The first day you’ll prep your gear, begin your trek to the hut while learning about field and skill instruction. The second day is educational focused where you’ll dive deep into backcountry skiing skills. The third day you will pack out of the hut and test out all of the knowledge you just learned!

Red Mountain in Rossland, British Columbia

The Canadian Rockies are secluded and offer some of the best ski and snowboard terrain in North America. This 5-day and 4-night ski excursion of Red Mountain in Rossland, British Columbia will give you big turns on unlimited fresh powder. Rossland is just 3 hours from Spokane, Washington and Red Mountain in town is an off the radar ski area that’s over 4,000 skiable acres in a small ski town. Mount Baker, WA Ski Descent Trip

With this evoTrip opportunity of a lifetime you’ll be able to descent the Easton Glacier on skis!

Mount Baker is the highest peak in the North Cascades Mountain region that spans Oregon and Washington. Mount Baker, located in Washington is well-known for mountain climbing and hiking in the summer, but with this evoTrip opportunity of a lifetime you’ll be able to descent the Easton Glacier on skis! A full 7,500 feet! This two-day, one night trip is made for those who love adrenaline and have basic mountaineering skills – you will hike to Mount Baker base camp by skinning through alpine meadows, upon reaching base camp you will review skills necessary for big mountain skiing such as use of an ice axe, self-arrest, and ski-specific arrest. The first day ends with a short ski at base camp and the second day will be an epic day of adventure where you’ll climb to the summit of Mt. Baker and ski the intense yet thrilling descent all the way down the mountain.
