Trip date available March 20 to 28, 2023

Depart on a 10-day excursion through the northernmost part of Finland, also called Lapland. This is the magical Arctic region known for its long winter, Northern Lights, wide open wilderness areas, frozen lakes and stunning Arctic fells.

Panoramic view of a cross-country skier on a track in beautiful winter wonderland in Finland’s Lapland.

On this tour, powered by evoTrip’s partners at Mint Tours, we’ll visit several ski resorts in Finland, including Pyhä-Luosto, Saariselkä, Levi and Ylläs. The Scandinavian ski areas are located far enough north that they are guaranteed to have snow for the whole season. Finnish ski resorts have plenty of powder skiing opportunities with temperatures well below zero.

When we’re not skiing and snowboarding, you’ll be living an arctic life, which includes unique Finnish activities such as riding huskies and snowmobiles or swimming in the winter in smoke saunas. You can also tour the backcountry using snowshoes and go skiing on hand-crafted boards.

As always, evoTrip’s tours are guided by experienced local hosts who live and work within the outdoor community of northern Finland and Lapland giving you a true ‘Mint’ perspective.

About Lapland, Finland

In the north of Finland, along the Arctic Circle, lies the region of Lapland. A popular destination for many reasons, including skiing, snowboarding, wildlife, Northern Lights and Santa Claus. In this area you will find four ski resorts: Pyhä, Saariselkä, Levi and Ylläs. Pyhä is located just outside the town of Rovaniemi and is easy to access. We will explore the backcountry of Pyhä-Luosto National Park here. Saariselkä is a vibrant cultural center with a connection to the local Sami people. Urho Kekkonen National Park is an excellent area for snowmobiles and husky dog sleds. The best place to see the Northern Lights is in Levi. Here you’ll also find an opportunity for extreme sports and fun evening activities, including world class nightlife after skiing. Ylläs is one of the largest ski resorts in Finland with incredible powder conditions.
