125 years ago, Clinton C. Filson established his company to outfit prospectors driven to strike gold regardless of environmental obstacles. These miners were soon joined by hunters, anglers, engineers, and explorers. The hardiness of Filson Mackinaw Coats and Wool Field Pants made them unrivaled for keeping comfortable and staying alive in the wilderness.

MACKINAW KNIFE

Handcrafted by an award-winning Seattle metalsmith and a Filson exclusive, this fixed-blade hunting knife is handcrafted in Seattle by master metalsmith and leatherworker Robb Gray of Graycloud Knives. Robb has been building fine working knives for nearly two decades, and his passion for the art shows through. The blade is made from Austrian Bohler-Uddeholm N690 stainless steel, renowned for its corrosion-resistance, edge-holding ability, and ease of sharpening. The clip-point blade features carefully contoured jimping along the spine for increased traction that remains comfortable during extended cutting tasks. The blade’s deep belly allows precision cutting on curved surfaces, such as when dressing out game. The stabilized desert ironwood handle is shaped to fit the hand perfectly and is virtually impervious to chemicals, water, and wear. The knife’s outstanding balance allows it to become an extension of your hand.

Crafted by hand with time-honored techniques, Filson’s limited-edition Handmade Pullover Sweater is hand-knit in British Columbia with the same time-honored techniques in use since the 1800s. The thick 100% wool yarns are knit into a rustic sweater that’s highly breathable and exceptionally warm, even if it gets wet. The fold-over collar can be turned up for added warmth for your neck. Rib-knit cuffs and hem. The back features a trout leaping for a fly and the year knitted in detail.
