Beringia’s Farallon Wool Shirt also stands out, made from precious Regenerated Wool material. Finally, MoonBikes and Powder Mountain have joined forces to bring us an amazing Guided Snowbike Experience.

Filson’s Civilian Conservation Corps Tribute Collection

In the summer of 1933, with the U.S. in the midst of the Great Depression, thousands of young men left their homes behind for what would become an unforgettable experience. One that marked a dramatic change to the country’s terrain and sparked a legacy that lives on today. Filson’s latest limited edition collection commemorates their work and achievements.

The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) members experienced the immense breadth of nature’s beauty in America as they were assigned to foundations in rural and wilderness areas. They worked diligently, rebuilding, restoring, and reclaiming a damaged land. It was their first experience with the sheer magnitude of wonders across the USA.

The CCC was a 1930s New Deal initiative implemented by Franklin D. Roosevelt that combined his passion for our wildlands with the need for jobs during the depression era. The hard-working men of the CCC replanted forests, fought wildfires and provided aid during times of natural disasters.

Filson’s CCC Jacquard Wool Jac-Shirt ($595) is made from an extra-heavy 28-oz wool/cotton blend. It pays tribute to the CCC with a large emblem woven into the back and logo elements along the waist. The two chest pockets are secured with hidden buttons, and the front closure and cuffs seal with natural horn buttons. The CCC Wool Bomber Jacket ($395) is an exact replica of the jackets issued by the Civilian Conservation Corps. This historic jacket features wool-blend rib-knit collar, cuffs and hem. It has a melamine-button front closure.

The CCC Wool Cap ($65) is a classic made in the same design and shape as historic professional baseball caps. The front features embroidery honoring the Civilian Conservation Corps. The 12-oz. CCC Stoneware Mug ($35) is made of clay that’s kiln-fired at over 2,000°F then cooled–a process that takes roughly 18 hours. It’s glazed with lead-free enamel for easy cleaning and to withstand the rigors of daily use. Custom-made for Filson with graphics honoring the Civilian Conservation Corps.
