Patagonia Provisions have always made good, nutritious, responsibly sourced foods. But for them, that’s just the beginning. Together with their producers, select companies and customers, they’re building a bigger marketplace, a powerful alternative to industrial agriculture, a path to restore and regenerate our home planet.

Here are some of my favorites:

Mussels ($7 per tin)

Lightly seasoned and packed in organic olive oil, lemon juice and mussel broth, Patagonia Provisions’ Lemon Herb Mussels offer a bright, fresh taste of the sea. All three flavors (lemon herb, smoked, and savory sofrito) are a delight.

Wild Pink Salmon, Black Pepper ($14 for a two pack)

Harvested off Lummi Island, Washington, using reef nets, an ancient selective-fishing technique. A light smoke over hardwoods, cracked black pepper and lemon make this mild pink salmon a delicacy. Two 4-oz pouches; fully cooked. Shelf stable until opened.

Wild Sockeye Salmon, Original ($14 for a single pack)

Harvested from the icy waters of the North Pacific, in responsibly managed, place-based fisheries. Brined and lightly smoked to highlight the fine flavor and firm texture for which sockeye are prized, this is salmon you can enjoy on every level. One 6-oz portion; fully cooked. Shelf stable until opened.

Organic Classic Barbecue Savory Seeds ($24 for a 12 Pack)

A crunchy, smoky blend of organic roasted lentils, buckwheat, hemp seeds and sunflower seeds. Easy to stow in a pocket or pack, it’s a great emergency snack wherever you are—on the trail, at home, on the beach, or in the car. Twelve 1-oz pouches in the pack.

Original Buffalo Jerky ($10)

Made from 100% grass-fed American buffalo (bison) that graze the Great Plains, the way they have for centuries. Lightly seasoned and dried for a robust, pleasingly chewy snack that’s both portable and nutritious.

Organic Mango + Almond Bars (27 for a 12 Pack)

Made with organic mangoes and other fruits, plus roasted almonds and chia seeds for a bit of protein and crunch. Small enough to tuck into a pocket, these pleasingly chewy bars won’t weigh you down—whether you’re on a sweaty run or a freezing climb.

Organic Black Bean Soup ($7)

A rich, thick soup with nuggets of organic black beans and sweet corn, boosted with spicy chipotle.  Our Black Bean Soup packs some serious plant-based nutrition: 17g of protein and 13g of fiber per serving, and 25% DV of iron and potassium, yet only 280 calories. Two servings per package.

Organic Original Red Bean Chili ($7)

Made from whole red and pinto beans, tomatoes, carrots, bell peppers, herbs and spices, this has the heft and flavor of home-cooked chili—in just 10 minutes. An excellent source of fiber (12g) and a good source of plant-based protein (14g). Two servings per package.

Organic Creamy Banana Breakfast Grains ($7)

A hearty, creamy hot cereal made from organic whole grains and sweet bananas. No artificial ingredients. No added sugar, either, so you can sweeten your bowl exactly the way you like—or not at all.
