In 2017, Helinox introduced the Chair Zero – a groundbreaking, ultra-lightweight design that became the gold standard for backpacking chairs. Its unmatched combination of comfort, portability, durability, and ease of setup and storage quickly made it one of Helinox’s most popular styles among backpackers, kayakers, overlanders, and anyone looking to balance comfort with limited space and weight capacity.
Every aspect of the new Chair Zero High-Back is carefully crafted for lightness, strength, and comfort. The frame is made from DAC’s proprietary TH72M alloy – a 7000 series aluminum known for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and favored by top tent manufacturers. Each pole is anodized for added strength and designed specifically to support the full weight of a person sitting. Helinox has exclusive rights to use DAC alloy in their outdoor furniture and accessories.
For the seat of the Chair Zero High-Back, Helinox uses a lightweight and durable 100D polyester fabric woven with Aramid – a military-grade fiber renowned for its strength. This ripstop fabric can withstand exposure to sun, dirt, rocks, and years of use without showing signs of wear.
Lastly, the hubs and connecting components are molded using Helinox’s high-strength nylon resin – specially engineered for precise, secure pole attachments.
