The smooth, well-worn paths are not only the core of almost every ride, but they also make for exquisite mountain biking.
On this mountain bike trip, you’ll not only explore great trails through the Sacred Valley, but also actual ancient Inca roads, dating from the 1400’s. These roads are a sheer joy to descend on. This one-week mountain biking trip is powered by KB Tambo Tours and was handcrafted exclusively for evo—they’ve included a bit of everything. They’ll take you to some of the most famous Inca sites in the Sacred Valley, treat you to locally sourced, fresh food, and give you the chance to experience incredible Peruvian culture. Ollantaytambo, Peru will serve as basecamp.
evoTrip basecamp is located in the oldest continually inhabited town in all of the Americas, Ollantaytambo, a town nestled in the valleys of the Sacred Valley. You will spend your week doing mostly shuttled rides from the basecamp to our trailheads. This means that evoTrip’s van drives up and then you ride down the trail. There are some climbing opportunities for those who prefer, but the mountains here are incredibly steep and climbing them often takes the whole day. Because of the steepness, evo works with local Peruvian mountain biking guides who have experience navigating these trails.
