Conrad Lucas

Naturalist, biologist, and adventure seeker Conrad Lucas uses his knowledge of ecology and hands-on experience to create colorful writing about the great outdoors. Over the years he has worked for the National Park Service and Forest Service across the western US, specializing in bat ecology and cave conservation. His great loves include desert canyons, snow-capped peaks, mazelike caves, perfect skipping stones, and everything to do with the wild, wild West. In his free time, he explores the hills and valleys around his home through skiing, climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, caving, and backpacking.
